    The Revolution:
iKwaito.co.za is the first site to exploit kwaito to the world via the internet's world wide web producing an outstanding quality website that reflect the life style of the youth in the global village. iKwaito.com "The way of life" expands that vision, to view the world as a single border-less macro-culture. "The way of life" concept means that the youth should follow their own independent path of life. "The way" being open to new things "life" being forever dynamic, creative, imaginative and innovative.

amuseafrica.com came to show the world that we are not just a kwaito site but an entertainment site.

    History:
iKwaito.co.za started in August 1998. We registered the site on 28 October 1998. Ikwaito.co.za was launched on the 23rd of February 1999. The team has dedicated the site to the world to know that kwaito is alive in Africa. iKwaito.com "The way of life" went live on March 2000 to celebrate ikwaito.co.za 1st birthday and to be global. Amuseafrica.com launched October 2000, to make other genres to feel at home. AA Newsletter 1st Official Newsletter was issued on 29th SEPTEMBER 2000.

IZANIA.com - POWWWER TO THE PEOPLE:
01 November 2000, South African web changed. Izania.com was a content driven portal site. Chat, Dating, SMS, Games were some of the services offered. Izania.com is a concept by SAFIKA ONLINE. The Team behind the force: Greg Howell, Isaac Monapula, Shakes Mkhonza, Gugu Nyandeni, Sagren Pather and Fezekile Futhwa. We would like to take this opportunity and thank everyone who supported the 'powwwer to the people'. The South African web still has a long way to go.

  6. Why hip-hop?
Amuseafrica did not took a ride on the SA hip-hop band wagon. All of our staff love hip-hop and were involved in it from day one. In short, we love the artform.

  7. Why you did kwaito before?
"Involved in SA hip-hop from day one" you said? No, we are not contradicting ourselves. When we started, there were not enough hip-hop releases available on the market. And in contrary, there were not enough kwaito sites on the web. So, that's why we started with kwaito. Please don't get it twisted - we do music and we love kwaito(it's our identity). To further defend the statement “Involved in SA Hip-Hop from day one” we did the official website of one of the first SA hip-hop releases by Eargasm Records “Mizchif - Life from all angles” which was released on December 1999.
